Theatre in schools
It's never too early for young people to start thinking about their future. The Onwards & Upwards theatre production for Year 7 students is a fun and innovative play that views tertiary education from the point of view of three Year 7 students. The aim of the presentation is to help young people think early about their choices and form their goals for the future.
Gibber touring show
Inspiring children to broaden their education horizons, Gibber (Make Your Mark) is a 40-minute high-energy, interactive, magazine-style touring theatre production for Year 7 students that presents staying in education after they leave school as interesting and accessible.
Gibber follows the story of three Year 7 students who explore the myths and barriers associated with post-secondary study. The characters look at different routes and pathways through education – including HSC, TAFE and university – and other career options. The object is to encourage children to consider their options early and develop an understanding of what is right for them.
The production has been developed by Gibber, on behalf of Bridges to Higher Education.
